If only if it all was all that easy. But it sure get’s your attention doesn’t it?
It’s great that we have this availability of information everywhere. It keeps us updated on the latest trends, scientific breakthrough and training methods. However on the flipside though, some of us are probably more confused than ever!
The fundamental science behind training the energy systems, building muscle or losing fat remain relatively the same. It just varies from individual to individual.
It is also important to take into account various factors such as genetics, age, fitness experience, individual goals and preference before designing or embarking on any fitness program.
To make matters even worse, some of us have some sort of medical limitations such as high blood pressure, lower back problems and other reoccurring or nagging injuries, which makes it even harder for us to start on most regular exercise programs.
YOU NEED A TRAINING PLAN !
Every training plan will be established during the weeks or months leading to an upcoming event or to reach a certain fitness goal. It is important to alternate volume, intensity, and exercise type over the course of your training to overcome plateaus, boredom or overuse injuries.
Many people initiate a training program for various reasons such as getting ready to look great for wedding photos, fitting into swimwear or simply being able to look and feel better about themselves!

Or worse, did you find yourself a victim of injury due to bad technique and overtraining? Your trainer might be able to effectively troubleshoot your workout program by making the necessary changes or simply by helping you improve on your exercise technique and execution.

I always ensure to continually provide the right training and professional assistance to each of my clients that I have trained over the years. I also strongly believe that besides all the technical knowledge, certifications or other attributes a trainer might have, the client-trainer progress can be strongly attributed to chemistry. When both the trainer and client can produce a great interpersonal relationship, there is a whole lot of positivity, progress and excitement when that come together with the training.
Although I do believe one cannot discount the wealth gained from experience, I strongly believe in the need for proper, credible and reliable education. This is why I continue to earn continuing education credits (CEC’s) to maintain my membership and certification with the American Council of Exercise since 2010. Besides that I also continue to collect and read through various literature and attend seminars or conferences of areas pertaining to sports science, rehabilitation and coaching of which I still continue to do to this very day.
Why do I do it? Because it is a commitment to ensure continued growth for both my client and my profession.
